FORT LAUDERDALE ATTORNEY GEORGE N. LEADER
George N. Leader
has been a Bar-licensed attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar for over 62 years. Shortly after his discharge from the Navy having served during World War II, Mr. Leader attended the University of Miami, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees.
Always aggressive and a go-getter, Mr. Leader filed his first four cases the day he was sworn in as a member of the Bar and has zealously advocated for his clients ever since. In addition to his full-time law practice, Mr. Leader, who had once hoped to return to school to become a doctor but was unable to fulfill that dream, yet wanted to find a way to help and provide for those in need. As a result, in the 1960s, he expanded his horizons and became actively engaged in the long-term care and healthcare arenas.
He ultimately built, opened and ran the second-largest fully skilled long-term care nursing facility in the State of Florida, which he owned and operated with assistance from his son and now law partner, Michael D. Leader, until 2006, when he retired from that side of the industry feeling disappointed with insurance companies and the minimal level of care that private, state and federal programs would allow for in their reimbursements.
Now, George Leader lends his years of experience and knowledge of insurance and long-term care to assist his firm in prosecuting claims against insurance companies that fail to properly administrate claims and/or pay benefits to the insured or the assignee.
